Klein Bearkats (Klein, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Spring Woods Tigers (Houston, TX), 20-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Bearkats now own a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host Tomball for a 6A Region II District 15 challenge on Tuesday, February 20. Klein will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 8-7 non-league loss to College Station (College Station, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 5-3.

With the loss, Spring Woods falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Bryan (Bryan, TX) to battle the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 17. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 3-2. Bryan won 4-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Tidehaven (El Maton, TX)
