The Kosciusko Whippets routed the host Lake Hornets softball squad by a count of 20-5 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Whippets (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Choctaw County (Ackerman, MS). The Chargers go into the non-league battle with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, Choctaw County topped Eupora (Eupora, MS), 3-1, in a non-league battle.

The Hornets now sport a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Enterprise for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 20. Lake will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 9-7 non-league loss to Clinton (Clinton, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-2.
