Petal Panthers (Petal, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Moss Point Tigers (Moss Point, MS), 13-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Purvis for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 20. Petal will battle a Tornadoes squad coming off a 8-4 non-league win over Wayne County (Waynesboro, MS). The Tornadoes record now stands at 4-0.

With the loss, Moss Point falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Tigers host Our Lady Academy (Bay St. Louis, MS) to battle the Crescents in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 21. The Crescents enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Our Lady Academy lost 17-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Gautier (Gautier, MS)
