Seguin Matadors (Seguin, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting South San Antonio Bobcats (San Antonio, TX), 7-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Matadors now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they host Vela for a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 17. Seguin will face a Sabercats squad coming off a 8-4 non-league loss to Hendrickson (Pflugerville, TX). The Sabercats record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, South San Antonio falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Medina Valley (Castroville, TX) to face the Panthers in a 5A Region IV District 28 challenge on Tuesday, February 20. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 4-1. Medina Valley won 6-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Veterans Memorial (San Antonio, TX)
