In Monday's non-league test, the Johnston Speedboys (Bessemer, MI) basketball squad knocked off the host West Iron County Wykons (Iron River, MI), by a score of 51-40.

Next, the Speedboys encounter the Ewen-Trout Creek Panthers (Ewen, MI) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, February 18. Johnston will attempt to improve on its 11-9 season record. The Panthers come into the test with a 12-6 record after their 60-49 league win over L'Anse (L'Anse, MI).

The Wykons (4-16) will now prepare for their test against Hancock (Hancock, MI). The Bulldogs come into the Western Peninsula test with a 0-21 record. In their last test, Hancock went down by Iron Mountain (Iron Mountain, MI), 73-23, in a non-league test.
