Illinois High School Basketball - Flanagan-Cornell holds off Varsity Opponent

In Monday's non-league contest, the host Flanagan-Cornell Falcons basketball team scored a close 59-52 triumph over the Varsity Opponent .

The Falcons (14-15) will now prepare for their contest against Deer Creek-Mackinaw (Mackinaw, IL). The Chiefs go into the Heart of Illinois contest with a 11-17 record. In their last contest, Deer Creek-Mackinaw nipped El Paso-Gridley (El Paso, IL), 59-50, in a league contest.

In their next game, the confront the Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis Crusaders (St. Louis, MO) in a non-league contest, on Monday, February 17. Varsity Opponent will attempt to better on its 459-1568 season record. The Crusaders go into the contest with a 18-8 record after their 72-61 non-league win over Crosspoint Christian (Villa Ridge, MO).
