The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Doniphan West Mustangs (Highland, KS) and the host Perry-Lecompton Kaws (Perry, KS), observed Doniphan West's basketball team overwhelm Perry-Lecompton by a score of 55-20.

The Mustangs (14-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Onaga (Onaga, KS). The Buffaloes come into the Twin Valley challenge with a 7-10 record. In their last challenge, Onaga was routed by Washington County (Washington, KS), 55-46, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Kaws encounter the Valley Falls Dragons (Valley Falls, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 18. Perry-Lecompton will attempt to improve on its 2-16 season record. The Dragons come into the challenge with a 2-16 record after their 57-41 league loss to Oskaloosa (Oskaloosa, KS).
