Kentucky High School Basketball - South Laurel victorious over Russell County

In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting South Laurel Cardinals basketball team scored a good 56-41 triumph over the Russell County Lakers.

The Cardinals (21-5) will now prepare for their contest against Danville (Danville, KY). The Admirals go into the non-league contest with a 10-17 record. In their last contest, Danville was topped by West Jessamine (Nicholasville, KY), 51-34, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Lakers battle the Barren County Trojans (Glasgow, KY) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, February 20. Russell County will attempt to better on its 11-16 season record. The Trojans go into the contest with a 22-5 record after their 60-36 non-league win over Clinton County (Albany, KY).
