Next, the Mustangs meet the Caldwell Hornets (Caldwell, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 21. Madisonville will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record. The Hornets enter the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 13-1 non-league loss to Franklin (Franklin, TX).

The Bison (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Normangee (Normangee, TX). The Panthers enter the non-league challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, Normangee was routed by New Waverly (New Waverly, TX), 9-3, in a non-league challenge.
