The De Kalb Bears softball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Mt. Pleasant Tigers to 0 in the Bears non-league win on Monday.
The Bears now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Grand Prairie for a non-league battle on Thursday, February 20. De Kalb will confront a Gophers team coming off a 17-1 non-league win over Hillcrest (Dallas, TX). The Gophers record now stands at 4-6.
With the loss, Mt. Pleasant moves to 2-1 on the season. The Tigers host New Boston (New Boston, TX) to battle the Lions in a non-league match on Thursday, February 20.
