The Taylor Ducks the visiting Elgin Wildcats softball squad by a count of 12-10 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Ducks meet the Weslaco Panthers (Weslaco, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 19. Taylor will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Panthers come into the battle with a 5-2 record after their 5-1 non-league win over Gregory-Portland (Portland, TX).

With the loss, Elgin moves to 2-5 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Mumford (Mumford, TX) to confront the Mustangs in a non-league battle on Friday, February 20.
