The Sherman Bearcats the visiting Independence Knights softball squad by a final score of 9-5 in Tuesday's non-league battle.

The Bearcats now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Burkburnett for a non-league battle on Thursday, February 19. Sherman will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 13-3 non-league loss to Iowa Park (Iowa Park, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-3.

The Knights (0-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, TX). The Gophers enter the non-league challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last challenge, Grand Prairie edged White (Dallas, TX), 15-0, in a non-league challenge.
