The Gulfport Admirals crushed the visiting Stone Tomcats baseball team by a count of 13-3 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Admirals now possess a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lewisburg for a non-league bout on Saturday, February 19. Gulfport will battle a Patriots squad coming off a 4-3 non-league win over D'Iberville (D'Iberville, MS). The Patriots record now stands at 1-0.
With the defeat, Stone falls to 1-2 on the season. The Tomcats travel to St. Martin (Ocean Springs, MS) to battle the Yellow Jackets in a non-league test on Tuesday, February 22. The Yellow Jackets come into the test with a record of 2-1. St. Martin won 12-1 in their recent non-league bout against Bay (Bay St. Louis, MS)
