The Burges Mustangs (El Paso, TX) softball routed the host Chaparral Lobos (Chaparral, NM), 16-0 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Mustangs (3-0) will now prepare for their bout against Andress (El Paso, TX). The Eagles go into the non-league bout with a 1-1 record. In their last bout, Andress toppled Young Women's STEAM Research & Preparatory Academy (El Paso, TX), 23-9, in a non-league bout.

The Lobos now possess a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Irvin for a non-league bout on Saturday, February 19. Chaparral will confront a Rockets squad coming off a 16-5 non-league loss to Burges (El Paso, TX). The Rockets record now stands at 0-2.
