The La Porte Bulldogs softball team scored 3 runs and limited the visiting New Caney Eagles to 2 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, La Porte moves its record to 2-1 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Texas City (Texas City, TX) to clash with the Stingarees in a 5A Region III District 22 game on Tuesday, February 22. The Stingarees come into the game with a record of 2-0. Texas City won 6-2 in their recent non-league game against Cinco Ranch (Katy, TX)

In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Sam Rayburn Texans (Pasadena, TX) in a non-league game, on Saturday, February 19. New Caney will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Texans come into the game with a 2-1 record after their 10-1 non-league loss to St. Pius X (Houston, TX).
