In Saturday's non-league outing, the Canton C-Hawks (Canton, SD) basketball squad beat the host Highmore/Harrold Pirates (Highmore, SD), by a count of 78-67.

The C-Hawks (9-10) will now prepare for their outing against Vermillion (Vermillion, SD). The Tanagers go into the A Region 4 outing with a 9-11 record. In their last outing, Vermillion defeated Parker (Parker, SD), 60-32, in a league outing.

The Pirates now hold a 13-6 record. They play next when they travel to Miller for a non-league outing on Friday, February 24. Highmore/Harrold will clash with a Rustlers squad coming off a 56-51 non-league win over Faulkton (Faulkton, SD). The Rustlers record now stands at 11-9.
