Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Merrillville Pirates (Merrillville, IN) and the visiting Hobart Brickies (Hobart, IN), saw Merrillville's basketball squad wallop Hobart by a tally of 75-41.
With the victory, Merrillville improves its record to 8-12 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to South Bend Adams (South Bend, IN) to play the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 22. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 7-13. South Bend Adams lost 78-63 in their recent league challenge against South Bend Riley (South Bend, IN)
Next up, the Brickies play the Whiting Oilers (Whiting, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 21. Hobart will attempt to improve on its 9-11 season record. The Oilers come into the challenge with a 9-11 record after their 53-33 non-league win over Washington Township (Valparaiso, IN).
