Homer Mariners (Homer, AK) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Redington Huskies (Wasilla, AK), 61-28 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Homer upgrades its record to 3-16 on the season. The Mariners travel to Nikiski (Nikiski, AK) to play the Bulldogs in a 3A Peninsula bout on Tuesday, February 21. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 3-16. Nikiski won 51-47 in their recent non-league bout against Redington (Wasilla, AK)

Next up, the Huskies play the Houston Hawks (Big Lake, AK) in a 3A Eastern bout, on Wednesday, February 22. Redington will attempt to upgrade on its 0-17 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 16-4 record after their 90-66 league win over Mt. Edgecumbe (Sitka, AK).
