In Saturday's non-league outing, the Homer Mariners (Homer, AK) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Redington Huskies (Wasilla, AK), by a margin of 36-11.
The Mariners (6-12) will now prepare for their outing against Nikiski (Nikiski, AK). The Bulldogs go into the 3A Peninsula outing with a 7-12 record. In their last outing, Nikiski smashed Redington (Wasilla, AK), 52-24, in a non-league outing.
The Huskies now own a 0-15 record. They play next when they travel to Houston for a 3A Eastern outing on Friday, February 24. Redington will clash with a Hawks squad coming off a 72-41 league loss to Mt. Edgecumbe (Sitka, AK). The Hawks record now stands at 4-16.
