The Coppell Cowboys softball team scored 8 runs and restricted the host Lockhart Lions to 2 in the Cowboys non-league victory on Saturday.

The Cowboys (4-3) will now prepare for their bout against Franklin (Franklin, TX). The Lions go into the non-league bout with a 4-0 record. In their last bout, Franklin held off Lufkin (Lufkin, TX), 4-0, in a non-league bout.

The Lions now possess a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to Carroll for a non-league bout on Saturday, February 18. Lockhart will confront a Tigers squad coming off a 9-7 non-league win over Franklin (El Paso, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 1-4.
