Spring Lions (Spring, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Cypress Ranch Mustangs (Houston, TX), 10-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Heights for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 21. Spring will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 7-1 non-league win over Lee (Baytown, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Cypress Ranch falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Cypress Woods (Cypress, TX) to face the Wildcats in a 6A Region II District 16 challenge on Tuesday, February 21. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 4-3. Cypress Woods won 7-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Deer Park (Deer Park, TX)
