The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Horn Jaguars (Mesquite, TX) and the visiting Ferris Yellowjackets (Ferris, TX), saw Horn's softball squad nip Ferris by a count of 12-9.

The Jaguars now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Heritage for a non-league match on Saturday, February 18. Horn will face a Coyotes squad coming off a 19-0 non-league win over Ranchview (Irving, TX). The Coyotes record now stands at 5-0.

With the loss, Ferris falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Venus (Venus, TX) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 21. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 0-3. Venus lost 18-3 in their recent non-league match against Lorena (Lorena, TX)
