Memorial Mustangs (Houston, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Fort Bend Dulles Vikings (Sugar Land, TX), 13-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cypress Creek for a 6A Region III District 17 challenge on Tuesday, February 21. Memorial will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Alief Hastings (Houston, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Fort Bend Dulles falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Vikings host Fort Bend Travis (Richmond, TX) to battle the Tigers in a 6A Region III District 20 challenge on Tuesday, February 21. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 1-3. Fort Bend Travis lost 13-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Texas City (Texas City, TX)
