Coming up next, the Hawks encounter the Mercedes Tigers (Mercedes, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 32 test, on Tuesday, February 21. Harlingen South will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Tigers come into the test with a 4-1 record after their 6-0 non-league loss to Los Fresnos (Los Fresnos, TX).

The Tarpons (2-6) will now prepare for their test against Veterans Memorial (Brownsville, TX). The Chargers come into the non-league test with a 4-3 record. In their last test, Veterans Memorial edged Porter (Brownsville, TX), 16-3, in a league test.
