In Saturday's non-league contest, the London Pirates (Corpus Christi, TX) softball team held off the visiting Holmes Huskies (San Antonio, TX), by a margin of 10-9.
With the triumph, London moves its record to 1-1 on the year. The Pirates travel to Edinburg North (Edinburg, TX) to play the Cougars in a non-league contest on Thursday, February 23. The Cougars come into the contest with a record of 5-2. Edinburg North won 4-3 in their recent non-league contest against Hanna (Brownsville, TX)
In their next game, the Huskies play the Stevens Falcons (San Antonio, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 29 contest, on Wednesday, February 22. Holmes will attempt to advance on its 2-5 season record. The Falcons go into the match with a 3-1 record after their 2-2 non-league McCollum (San Antonio, TX).
