Kaufman Lions (Kaufman, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host West Mesquite Wranglers (Mesquite, TX), 16-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now sport a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Palo Duro for a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 18. Kaufman will face a Dons squad coming off a 18-0 non-league loss to Heritage (Frisco, TX). The Dons record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, West Mesquite falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Wranglers host Poteet (Mesquite, TX) to face the Pirates in a 5A Region II District 12 challenge on Tuesday, March 7. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 3-3.
