Sachse Mustangs (Sachse, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host University Trojans (Waco, TX), 14-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Lakeview Centennial for a 6A Region II District 9 challenge on Tuesday, February 21. Sachse will face a Patriots squad coming off a 13-0 non-league loss to Royse City (Royse City, TX). The Patriots record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, University falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Caddo Mills (Caddo Mills, TX) to face the Foxes in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 24. The Foxes enter the challenge with a record of 0-4.
