In Saturday's non-league contest, the Smiths Station Panthers (Smiths, AL) softball team held off the visiting Spanish Fort Toros (Spanish Fort, AL), by a margin of 8-7.
With the triumph, Smiths Station moves its record to 2-1 on the year. The Panthers travel to Wetumpka (Wetumpka, AL) to play the Indians in a non-league contest on Saturday, February 18. The Indians come into the contest with a record of 2-0. Wetumpka won 16-0 in their recent non-league contest against Charles Henderson (Troy, AL)
In their next game, the Toros play the Saraland Spartans (Saraland, AL) in a non-league contest, on Monday, February 20. Spanish Fort will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record.
