Illinois High School Basketball - Athens victorious over Olympia

In Tuesday's league contest, the host Athens Warriors basketball team scored a good 69-52 triumph over the Olympia Spartans.

The Warriors (14-16) will now prepare for their contest against Pleasant Plains (Pleasant Plains, IL). The Cardinals go into the Sangamo contest with a 19-10 record. In their last contest, Pleasant Plains topped Illini Central (Mason City, IL), 61-26, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Spartans confront the PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central Bluejays (Petersburg, IL) in a Sangamo contest, on Friday, February 21. Olympia will attempt to better on its 8-18 season record. The Bluejays go into the contest with a 23-6 record after their 57-55 league win over Auburn (Auburn, IL).
