In their last challenge, Mt. Vernon/Plankinton was knocked off by Parkston (Parkston, SD), 93-52, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Mustangs encounter the Lennox Orioles (Lennox, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 20. Tri-Valley will attempt to improve on its 4-13 season record. The Orioles come into the challenge with a 12-4 record after their 75-56 non-league win over Pine Ridge (Pine Ridge, SD).
