In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Somerset Briar Jumpers basketball team scored a big 71-49 triumph over the Metcalfe County Hornets.

The Briar Jumpers (14-11) will now prepare for their contest against Southwestern (Somerset, KY). The Warriors go into the non-league contest with a 15-12 record.

In their next game, the Hornets battle the Monroe County Falcons (Tompkinsville, KY) in a District 16 contest, on Sunday, February 23. Metcalfe County will attempt to better on its 9-18 season record. The Falcons go into the contest with a 14-14 record after their 73-67 non-league win over Warren East (Bowling Green, KY).
