In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host New Trier Trevians basketball team scored a big 70-44 triumph over the Vernon Hills Cougars.
The Trevians (20-11) will now prepare for their contest against Maine South (Park Ridge, IL). The Hawks go into the non-league contest with a 13-16 record. In their last contest, Maine South smashed Maine West (Des Plaines, IL), 92-63, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Cougars battle the Palatine Pirates (Palatine, IL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, February 21. Vernon Hills will attempt to better on its 16-13 season record. The Pirates go into the contest with a 17-13 record after their 53-38 non-league win over Hersey (Arlington Heights, IL).
