The Luling Eagles softball team scored 17 runs and held the visiting Gonzales Apaches to 1 in the Eagles non-league win on Tuesday.

The Eagles now possess a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Schulenburg for a non-league battle on Friday, February 21. Luling will confront a Shorthorns team coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to Holland (Holland, TX). The Shorthorns record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Gonzales moves to 3-4 on the season. The Apaches travel to Hallettsville (Hallettsville, TX) to confront the Brahmas in a non-league battle on Saturday, February 22. The Brahmas come into the battle with a record of 4-1. Hallettsville won 4-3 in their recent non-league battle against Ganado (Ganado, TX)
