The DeSoto Central Jaguars the host Starkville Academy Volunteers baseball team by a tally of 6-2 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Jaguars now hold a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Southaven for a non-league bout on Friday, February 25. DeSoto Central will face a Chargers team coming off a 13-4 non-league win over Center Hill (Olive Branch, MS). The Chargers record now stands at 2-1.
Next, the Volunteers face the Tupelo Christian Prep Eagles (Belden, MS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 22. Starkville Academy will attempt to advance on its 1-3 season record. The Eagles enter the bout with a 1-1 record after their 6-2 non-league loss to Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS).
