In Saturday's non-league contest, the Lake Hornets (Lake, MS) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Morton Panthers (Morton, MS), by a margin of 12-1.
With the triumph, Lake moves its record to 1-1 on the year. The Hornets travel to Kosciusko (Kosciusko, MS) to play the Whippets in a non-league contest on Monday, February 28. The Whippets come into the contest with a record of 1-0.
In their next game, the Panthers play the Pelahatchie Chiefs (Pelahatchie, MS) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 22. Morton will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record.
