The Lakewood Lancers softball team scored 8 runs and limited the visiting Redondo Union Sea Hawks to 2 in the Lancers non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Lakewood improves its record to 2-1 on the year. The Lancers host Compton (Compton, CA) to clash with the Tarbabes in a Moore game on Thursday, March 3. The Tarbabes come into the game with a record of 0-0.

In their next game, the Sea Hawks clash with the Edison Chargers (Huntington Beach, CA) in a non-league game, on Saturday, February 19. Redondo Union will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Chargers come into the game with a 0-3 record after their 6-4 non-league loss to Rosary Academy (Fullerton, CA).
