In Monday's non-league outing, the Rudyard Bulldogs (Rudyard, MI) basketball squad felled the visiting Alpena Wildcats (Alpena, MI), by a margin of 65-56.

The Bulldogs (13-6) will now prepare for their outing against Cheboygan (Cheboygan, MI). The Chiefs go into the Straits Area outing with a 9-9 record. In their last outing, Cheboygan was beaten by Harbor Springs (Harbor Springs, MI), 66-36, in a non-league outing.

The Wildcats now own a 5-16 record. They play next when they host Traverse City Central for a Big North outing on Thursday, February 22. Alpena will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 79-75 non-league win over Dow (Midland, MI). The Trojans record now stands at 5-15.
