Illinois High School Basketball - Ashton-Franklin Center ripped by Newman Central Catholic

In Monday's non-league match, the host Newman Central Catholic Comets basketball team scored a decisive 62-36 triumph over the Ashton-Franklin Center Raiders.

In their next game, the Comets meet the Polo Marcos (Polo, IL) in a Northwest Upstate Illini - South match, on Wednesday, February 21. Newman Central Catholic will attempt to better on its 21-11 season record. The Marcos enter the match with a 16-13 record after their 73-33 non-league win over Hiawatha (Kirkland, IL).

With the defeat, Ashton-Franklin Center moves to 5-26 on the year.
