The Iola-Scandinavia Thunderbirds felled the visiting Wabeno/Laona Rebels basketball squad by a margin of 72-63 in Monday's non-league test.
The Thunderbirds (12-11) will now prepare for their test against Manawa (Manawa, WI). The Wolves go into the Central Wisconsin - East test with a 12-11 record. In their last test, Manawa thwarted Crandon (Crandon, WI), 71-47, in a non-league test.
The Rebels now own a 13-11 record. They play next when they host Rosholt for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 27. Wabeno/Laona will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 74-34 league loss to Pittsville (Pittsville, WI). The Hornets record now stands at 6-19.
