The La Marque Cougars (La Marque, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Royal Falcons (Brookshire, TX), 42-37 in Monday's non-league test.
The Cougars (19-16) will now prepare for their test against La Vernia (La Vernia, TX). The Bears go into the non-league test with a 31-1 record. In their last test, La Vernia got by Bandera (Bandera, TX), 68-48, in a non-league test.
The Falcons now own a 15-9 record.
