Connecticut High School Basketball - St. Joseph can't hold off Staples

The Staples Wreckers basketball team scored 71 points and held the host St. Joseph Cadets to 69 in the Wreckers league triumph on Monday.

The Wreckers now sport a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westhill for a Fairfield County contest on Wednesday, February 21. Staples will battle a Vikings team coming off a 57-46 league loss to Greenwich (Greenwich, CT). The Vikings record now stands at 2-16.

Next up, the Cadets play the Danbury Hatters (Danbury, CT) in a Fairfield County bout, on Wednesday, February 21. St. Joseph will attempt to upgrade on its 11-8 season record. The Hatters go into the bout with a 12-7 record after their 72-42 league win over Bridgeport Central (Bridgeport, CT).
