Hoover Buccaneers (Hoover, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Brooks Lions (Killen, AL), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Buccaneers now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Auburn for a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 22. Hoover will face a Tigers squad coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Calera (Calera, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Brooks falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Lions host Wilson (Florence, AL) to face the Warriors in a 4A Area 16 challenge on Monday, February 26. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
