In Wednesday's non-league contest, the visiting McGill-Toolen Yellowjackets basketball team scored a close 42-35 triumph over the Park Crossing Thunderbirds.

The Yellowjackets (22-8) will now prepare for their contest against Pinson Valley (Pinson, AL). The Indians go into the non-league contest with a 21-8 record. In their last contest, Pinson Valley nipped Clay-Chalkville (Pinson, AL), 49-46, in a non-league contest.
