In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host Oxford Wildcats basketball team scored a big 55-11 win over the Lapeer Lightning.
The Wildcats (8-13) will now prepare for their contest against Clarkston (Clarkston, MI). The Wolves come into the Oakland - Red contest with a 14-6 record. In their last contest, Clarkston smashed Ferndale (Ferndale, MI), 25-13, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Lightning battle the Powers Catholic Chargers (Flint, MI) in a Saginaw Valley contest, on Friday, February 21. Lapeer will attempt to better on its 3-13 season record. The Chargers come into the contest with a 14-5 record after their 63-27 league win over Carman-Ainsworth (Flint, MI).
