The South Effingham Mustangs edged the visiting Johnson Atomsmashers soccer team by a tally of 2-1 in Wednesday's non-league game.
Next, the Mustangs face the Bradwell Institute Tigers (Hinesville, GA) in a 5A Area 1 game, on Friday, February 21. South Effingham will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record. The Tigers enter the game with a 2-1 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Liberty County (Hinesville, GA).
The Atomsmashers (4-3) will now prepare for their game against Vidalia (Vidalia, GA). The Indians enter the non-league game with a 1-2 record. In their last game, Vidalia held off Swainsboro (Swainsboro, GA), 5-1, in a non-league game.
