The Robstown Cottonpickers got by the visiting Austin Maroons baseball team by a count of 6-5 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Cottonpickers now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Aransas Pass for a non-league test on Friday, February 20. Robstown will play a Panthers team coming off a 12-1 non-league loss to Goliad (Goliad, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 0-4.

With the defeat, Austin falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Maroons travel to Flour Bluff (Corpus Christi, TX) to encounter the Hornets in a non-league outing on Friday, February 20. The Hornets enter the outing with a record of 3-0. Flour Bluff won 4-3 in their recent non-league outing against Tuloso-Midway (Corpus Christi, TX)
