Texas High School Softball - Waltrip bounces Nimitz

The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Waltrip Rams (Houston, TX) and the host Nimitz Cougars (Houston, TX), observed Waltrip's softball team get by Nimitz by a tally of 9-4.

The Rams (2-2) will now prepare for their bout against Sharpstown (Houston, TX). The Apollos go into the 5A Region III District 21 contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Sharpstown was routed by Spring Woods (Houston, TX), 15-0, in a league contest.

The Cougars now hold a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Alief Elsik for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 19. Nimitz will face a Rams squad coming off a 20-4 non-league loss to Dekaney (Houston, TX). The Rams record now stands at 2-1.
