The Elk River Elks basketball team scored 73 points and restricted the host Anoka Tornadoes to 55 in the Elks non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Elks now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Park Center for a non-league contest on Friday, February 4. Elk River will battle a Pirates team coming off a 74-42 league win over Champlin Park (Champlin, MN). The Pirates record now stands at 14-3.
The Tornadoes (4-11) will now prepare for their contest against Robbinsdale Armstrong (Plymouth, MN). The Falcons come into the non-league contest with a 8-8 record. In their last contest, Robbinsdale Armstrong prevailed over Blaine (Blaine, MN), 70-60, in a league contest.
