    February 2, 2023: Akron, CO 80720

    The Akron Rams (Akron, CO) basketball nipped the visiting Perkins County Plainsmen (Grant, NE), 32-31 in Thursday's non-league test.

    The Rams (6-8) will now prepare for their test against Merino (Merino, CO). The Rams go into the 3A/2A Lower Platte test with a 8-5 record. In their last test, Merino was tipped by Limon (Limon, CO), 44-32, in a non-league test.

    The Plainsmen now own a 11-8 record. They play next when they travel to Potter-Dix for a non-league test on Saturday, February 4.
