South Dakota High School Basketball - Alcester-Hudson edges Freeman

The Alcester-Hudson Cubs (Alcester, SD) basketball nipped the visiting Freeman Flyers (Freeman, SD), 52-49 in Thursday's league test.

The Cubs (5-12) will now prepare for their test against Beresford (Beresford, SD). The Watchdogs go into the non-league test with a 12-3 record. In their last test, Beresford got by Madison (Madison, SD), 57-46, in a non-league test.

The Flyers now own a 3-11 record. They play next when they host Scotland for a B Region 4 test on Saturday, February 4. Freeman will encounter a Highlanders squad coming off a 39-37 non-league win over Corsica/Stickney (Corsica, SD). The Highlanders record now stands at 5-7.
